# London Rug Cleaning – Modern Astro Web App & Local UK SEO

> Building an ultra-fast Astro v5 web platform and local London SEO engine for London Rug Cleaning, specializing in Persian & Oriental rug restoration.

## 1. Project Overview

**London Rug Cleaning** (londonrugcleaning.co.uk) is a specialized UK rug care service providing expert cleaning, stain removal, and restoration for high-value Persian, Oriental, silk, and antique hand-knotted rugs across all London postcodes. The client required a modern, ultra-fast web application built with our [custom web development services](/en/services/web-development/) to capture online quote requests and establish local search dominance across Greater London.

## 2. The Challenge

- **Sub-Second Speed Expectation:** London consumers expect instantaneous mobile web performance. Traditional WordPress setups often lag under heavy scripts.
- **Hyper-Targeted Local London SEO:** Ranking across diverse London boroughs (Kensington, Chelsea, Richmond, Hampstead, Westminster) for specialized service keywords.
- **Seamless Quote Conversion:** Designing a frictionless request funnel with instant phone dialer access and interactive service pricing estimators.

## 3. The Technical Solution

### Modern Astro v5 Architecture & Tailwind CSS

- **Astro v5 Server-Driven Architecture:** Leveraged Astro’s zero-JS-by-default rendering engine combined with our [website speed optimization services](/en/services/speed-optimization/) (following benchmarks from our [Website Speed Optimization Pricing Guide 2026](/en/blog/website-speed-optimization-pricing-guide-2026/)), reducing client-side JavaScript payloads to under 15KB.
- **Smooth View Transitions & Micro-Interactions:** Utilized native browser View Transitions API for instant, app-like page navigation between services without page reloads, styled with precision [custom web design](/en/services/web-design/).

### Advanced Local Business Schema & Geo-Targeting

- **JSON-LD ServiceArea Markup:** Embedded detailed `LocalBusiness` and `CleaningService` schemas declaring coverage for all London M25 postcode sectors via our [local SEO services](/en/services/local-seo/) and [Local SEO Services Guide 2026](/en/blog/local-seo-services-guide-2026/).
- **Dynamic Quote Request Island:** Built responsive quote modal islands with instant phone click-to-call hooks.

## 4. Measuring the Results

- **Lightning-Fast Loading:** Achieved an outstanding 0.4s load time and 99/100 Google PageSpeed score.
- **Quote Conversion Growth:** Generated a 240% increase in online quote requests within the first 60 days (estimate your project with our [free Website Cost Calculator](/en/tools/cost-calculator/)).
- **Local Search Visibility:** Ranked top 3 across primary London borough search queries for Persian & Oriental rug cleaning.
